From Practical Questions to Sustainable Vitality Solutions
The center works through a structured development cycle inspired by Living Labs, practice-based learning, evidence-based practice and the PDCA cycle.
Evidence-based and practice-based
We combine evidence-based knowledge with practice-based experience. This means that we use available research, data and proven methods, while also learning from real-world situations and the experience of organisations, professionals and communities.
Living Lab model
Our Living Labs bring together researchers, students and practice partners. Researchers contribute knowledge and methods, students work on real-world assignments, and practice partners provide relevant questions and implementation settings.
Step-by-step process
Step 1 — Submit a Question
An organisation, school, municipality or partner submits a practical question related to vitality.
Step 2 — Intake and Clarification
The question is clarified. The centre explores the context, urgency, target group, available data and desired outcome.
Step 3 — Baseline Measurement
The current situation is assessed. This can include surveys, interviews, document analysis, existing data or instruments such as the VitOScan.
Step 4 — Review of Results
The results are analysed and translated into key findings.
Step 5 — Priority Session and Goal Setting
Stakeholders define priorities and decide which goals are most relevant.
Step 6 — Design of Innovative Interventions
Students, professionals, researchers and stakeholders co-create possible interventions or recommendations.
Step 7 — Preparation for Implementation
Roles, planning, resources and responsibilities are defined.
Step 8 — Implementation
The intervention or advice is applied in the organisation, school or community.
Step 9 — Evaluation
Outcomes are evaluated to assess what worked, what did not work and what can be improved.
Step 10 — Monitoring and Refinement
The process continues through monitoring and adjustment, following the PDCA cycle.
