A structured development cycle inspired by Living Labs, evidence-based practice and the PDCA cycle — and a clear set of services to put it to work.
We combine evidence-based knowledge with practice-based experience. We use available research, data and proven methods, while also learning from real-world situations and the experience of organisations, professionals and communities.
Our Living Labs bring together researchers, students and practice partners. Researchers contribute knowledge and methods, students work on real-world assignments, and practice partners provide relevant questions and implementation settings.
Every project runs through Plan, Do, Check and Act — a continuous loop of measuring, improving and refining rather than a one-off fix.
An organisation, school, municipality or partner submits a practical question related to vitality.
The question is clarified: context, urgency, target group, available data and desired outcome.
The current situation is assessed via surveys, interviews, document analysis or instruments such as the VitOScan.
The results are analysed and translated into key findings.
Stakeholders define priorities and decide which goals are most relevant.
Students, professionals, researchers and stakeholders co-create interventions or recommendations.
Roles, planning, resources and responsibilities are defined.
The intervention or advice is applied in the organisation, school or community.
Outcomes are evaluated to assess what worked, what did not and what can be improved.
The process continues through monitoring and adjustment, following the PDCA cycle.
We work across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, sharing knowledge and solutions that transcend national boundaries.
We work with highly talented students who bring fresh, up-to-date knowledge and real energy to every project.
We take an active part in innovation and stay ahead of new developments — so the work we deliver reflects the latest thinking.
We work best with organisations that are open to innovation and want to stay at the forefront. Bring us the vitality questions others find too new to tackle.
Organisations can submit questions about vitality in work, learning or living environments. These can be translated into research assignments, student projects, advice projects or Living Lab activities.
Possible activities:
Facilitated sessions in which stakeholders explore a vitality challenge and co-create possible solutions.
Projects in which students, researchers and practice partners work together on real-world challenges.
Sessions in which results from measurements are discussed and translated into priorities and goals.
Support in designing practical, innovative and evidence-informed interventions.
Evaluation of interventions, processes and collaboration.
Submit your question and we'll help translate it into a practical, evidence-informed project.
